Louisiana CE Courses

Summit Professional Education provides continuing education (CE) courses to PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Educators in the state of Louisiana. Summit works with numerous state boards and accrediting authorities nationwide to offer continuing education to PTs, OTs, and SLPs. In many states this includes the local chapters or sections of the board of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). LA PT/PTA's

PTs and PTAs need 30 credits every 2 years. The license cycle ends on March 31st, the year varies. 2 credits in ethics and 2 credits jurisprudence are required.

CE Recap:

30 credits every 2 years, 100% allowed online.

LA OTs & OTAs

OTs and OTAs in LA need 12 credits every year. The license cycle ends on the last day of the licensee's birth month.

CE Recap:

12 credits every year, 100% allowed online

LA SLPs

SLPs in LA need 10 credits every year. The license cycle ends on June 30th of every year.

CE Recap:

10 credits every year, 100% allowed online

LA Educators

No credits are required for a licensed teacher in the public sector, teachers in the private sector may be required to have CEs to prove that they are aligned with state standards, but if/how many is determined at the local district level.
